Job Position: Program Manager-working in collaboration with the Executive Director

UCAS, the Ugandan Canadian Association of Saskatchewan is looking for an organized self-motivated university graduate in Social Work or Humanities and Social Sciences to fill in a part-time position (approx. 12- 15 hours a week based on skills and funds) for 6 to 8 months – starting September 15, 2021.

Depending on the candidate’s skills and abilities this position may turn into a long-term position with more hours. The successful candidate is a responsible person whose practice is centered in respect of human rights values and diversity, and committed to supporting individuals, families and communities towards equitable and full integration in Canadian society. Working alongside with the Executive Director and a team of professionals, he/she will be responsible for the implementation of Karibu (training in popular theater) and Ubuntu (counselling, mentorship, and referral services) Programs. They will oversee promotion and coordination of activities to meet specific research and project goals. Related activities will include setting up virtual and in-person group meetings/workshops, plus provide team members with administrative support.

Salary will range between $23 per hour up to $25 depending on demonstrated experience.
